Peppermint Hot Cocoa Krispie Treats

Everything we love so much about the holidays; hot cocoa with marshmallows and peppermint all on top of the classic rice kripie treat. Thank you Your Home Based Mom




1 Tbsp butter
1 16oz package mini marshmallows
8 C rice krispie cereal
1 1/2 C milk chocolate chips
Hot Cocoa Frosting:
1/2 C butter softened
2 1/2 C powdered sugar
1-2 Tbsp milk
1/3- 1/2 C dry hot cocoa mix adjust amount to taste
Toppings:
1/2 C milk chocolate chips
1 C mini marshamallows
1/4 C mini candy canes crushed

  • Coat 15×10 glass baking dish with cooking spray.
  • Set aside.
  • In a large plastic microwaveable bowl place butter and mini marshmallows 
  • Microwave 1 minute, stir, microwave 30 seconds, stir well.
  • If not completely melted microwave 15 seconds more.
  • Stir in half rice krispies; mix well.
  • Stir in remaining rice krispies; mix until well coated.
  • Pour into baking dish, lightly wet hand with water and press flat into pan.
  • Allow to cool completely.
  • Invert onto cutting board or piece of parchment paper and give it a jiggle to remove treats.
  • For the frosting  cream butter, add powdered sugar 1 C at a time in a small mixing bowl
  •  Mix well.
  • Add 1-2 Tbsp milk until creamy but thick.
  • Add dry hot cocoa mix; mix until incorporated.
  • Spread hot cocoa frosting on the top of krispie treats.
  • Sprinkle topping marshmallows and crushed candy cane evenly over frosted treats.
  • In a microwave bowl melt chocolate for 30 seconds, stir well, 
  • Microwave 15 seconds more, stir until smooth.
  • Drizzle chocolate using a fork back and forth to garnish.
  • Let cool completely.
  • Cut into 4×4 square pieces.
  • Cover airtight until serving and enjoy!

Peppermint Brownie Bars

Delicious brownie bars, filled with the flavors of both chocolate and peppermint. Thank you Love from the Oven



1 package (family-size) fudge brownie mix
2 1/2 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/2 cup (1 stick) plus 7 tablespoons butter, divided
1 1/2 tablespoons heavy cream
1 teaspoon McCormick® Pure Peppermint Extract
12 ounces semi-sweet baking chocolate, coarsely chopped
Crushed peppermint candies (optional)



  • Preheat oven to 350°F. 
  • Prepare brownie mix as directed on package. 
  • Spread in greased foil-lined 15x10x1-inch baking pan.
  • Bake 15 minutes or until toothpick inserted into center comes out almost clean. 
  • Cool in pan on wire rack.
  • Meanwhile, beat confectioners’ sugar, 7 tablespoons of the butter, melted, cream and peppermint extract in large bowl until well blended and smooth. 
  • Spread evenly over cooled brownie. 
  • Refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • Microwave chocolate and remaining 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter in large microwave bowl on HIGH 2 minutes or until butter is melted. 
  • Stir until chocolate is completely melted. 
  • Spread over top of chilled brownie. 
  • Sprinkle with crushed peppermint candies, if desired. 
  • Cut into bars.

Chocolate Peppermint Rice Krispie Treats

Rice krispies go holiday! Thank you A Cultivated Nest



5-6 C. Kellogg's Rice Krispies
1 10.5 oz package of Peppermint Marshmallows 
4 tbs. butter
4 oz. chocolate chips or chocolate candy melts, any brand (white chocolate looks pretty too)
5 candy canes, crushed

  • Line a 9x13 baking dish with parchment paper or spray with some non-stick cooking spray. 
  • Melt the butter and peppermint marshmallows on low heat stirring frequently until melted.
  • Once they have completely melted, pour in the Rice Krispie cereal 
  • Stir well coating all the Rice Krispies.
  • Quickly pour the mixture in the baking dish and press down evenly. 
  • Pour the chocolate chips into a small microwave safe dish 
  • Heat in 20 second increments, stirring every 20 seconds until melted. 
  • Remove from the microwave and let cool a few minutes.
  • Scoop the melted chocolate into a sandwich bag and snip the corner of the baggie 
  • Gently squeeze the chocolate out of the sandwich bag over the Rice Krispie treats. 
  • It doesn't have to be perfect
  • Lastly sprinkle with the crushed candy canes. 
  • They will stick on top of the melted chocolate.
  • Cut evenly into squares.  
  • Store in an airtight container for 4-5 days.

Candy Cane Pretzel Bark

This 3 ingredient no bake treat is salty, sweet....and easy. Thank you Inside Bru Crew Life



waffle pretzels
1 - 16 ounce package white CandiQuik
Wilton Peppermint Crunch sprinkles or crushed candy canes

  • Line a 15x10 baking sheet with foil. 
  • Make sure the ends of the foil wrap around the pan, so it doesn't move. 
  • Lay the pretzels end to end covering the entire pan as much as you can.
  • Melt the package of CandiQuik according to the package directions. 
  • Gently pour over the pretzels on the pan. 
  • Use an angled spatula to evenly and gently spread the chocolate over all the pretzels. 
  • Sprinkle with candy canes or Peppermint Crunch sprinkles. 
  • Let set. 
  • Break apart into single pretzels or bigger squares of pretzels.

Peppermint Fudge

Creamy peppermint fudge topped with marshmallow, white chocolate and candy canes, a perfect gift for family and friends. Thank you Shugary Sweets

 

1 bag (12oz) white chocolate morsels
1 bag (10oz) Andes Peppermint Crunch baking chips
7oz jar marshmallow creme
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup heavy cream
2 cup granulated sugar
pinch of salt
1 pkg (16oz) vanilla Candiquik, melted
3 cup Mini Peppermint Marshmallows
5 peppermint candy canes, broken

  • In a mixing bowl, add white chocolate morsels, Andes baking chips and marshmallow creme. Set aside.
  • Prepare a 13x9 baking dish by lining it with parchment paper. Set aside.
  • In medium saucepan, heat butter, heavy cream, sugar and salt over medium high heat. 
  • Bring to a boil and continue stirring. 
  • Boil for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.
  • Pour over morsels and marshmallow creme, beating with an electric mixer until smooth and melted.
  • Pour fudge into prepared baking dish.
  • Melt vanilla candiquik according to package directions. 
  • Allow to cool slightly (a couple minutes). 
  • Fold in mini marshmallows and pour over top of fudge. 
  • Immediately sprinkle with broken candy canes. 
  • Allow fudge to set, about 2-3 hours. Cut into bites and enjoy!
