Taco Casserole

 Contest-Winning Taco Casserole Recipe

3 cups uncooked bowtie pasta
1 lb ground beef
1/4cup chopped onion
2 cups (8oz) shredded cheddar cheese
1 16oz jar salsa
1 can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 pkt of taco seasoning
2 cups nacho tortilla chips, crushed

  • Cook pasta according to package directions.
  • In a large skillet, cook beef and onion over medium heat until meat is no longer pink
  • Drain.
  • Add the cheese, salsa, tomatoes and taco seasoning.
  • Drain pasta; stir into beef mixture.
  • Transfer to a greased 11-in. x 7-in. baking dish.
  • Cover and bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
  • Uncover; sprinkle with tortilla chips.
  • Bake 10 minutes longer or until heated through
